INFORMATION EXCHANGE

The CAPB retains many documents on file at its office in Ottawa, all of which are available to members of the CAPB free of charge upon request. A copy of the Catalogue of Resource Material is available in the members' area.   Topics about which information is available include: community policing, child abuse, crime prevention, DNA testing and databank, evaluation of the delivery of police services, police governance, high risk offenders, police acts from across the country, police-race relations, prostitution and youth violence.

We can also often put members in touch with others across the country, who may be facing similar problems or challenges. The CAPB also provides its members with a directory of member boards/commissions to facilitate communication between police governing bodies across Canada.
